I bought this while I was in Iraq for the third time and I used it to keep a journal and write my thoughts in. I absolutely love it. Great quality with an awesome price. I would write some of my complaints about it, but I have none.
Update- I have had this journal now for about 3 years and I still use it. It has held up under some terrible conditions and the leather is still as nice and soft as the day I got it. The paper is good quality and the binding is holding up far better than I had expected. Overall I would buy this journal again a 100 times.

Ordered this as a Christmas present for my stepdaughter's boyfriend who is a very talented writer. I want to encourage him to write more in something nice, and when this arrived (quickly), I was very pleased. I haven't taken it out of the plastic because I need to wrap it, but the brown leather looks of fine quality...I think he will really like it. I searched for many journals online and this was the one I kept going back to. Didn't really want to spend that much on it, but I am happy I did it, now! I want one for myself! :)

Sent to a friend, for her to use to journal through her grieving. Picked the light tan bucksin, and sent along one of the hand turned wooden pens from the same company.
She loved her gifts, and is already using them.
It was important to me to pick something useful and beautiful, something which would last. I have purchased Modern Artisan things for myself, and have been very happy with them.
This was exactly what my friend wanted, and because it made her happy during an otherwise terrible time, I am that much more pleased with it.
