I have tried many battery operated candles at different stores and returned them all. They were all fake looking glows. This is the first set I bought on Amazon. They are absolutely great. They light/flicker is realistic and the candles are real wax. The only thing to note is that they have a yellow orange bulb thing over the light to give it a realistic color of the glow.

These candles are great. Compared to conventional candles:
-you don't have to search for a match to light it
-it doesn't get hot so it's not as dangerous
-it will last longer
The candles are all the same size. It would be nice if they were different heights, but they work well all the same.
The vanilla scent isn't as strong as would be expected with a match-lit candle, but the scent is good enough. I like that we can have them around the family and not be worried about them being tipped over.
